I was reading this press release that announced the hiring of Mark Hurd over at Oracle and the simultaneous departure of Charles Phillips (of Times Square embarrassing billboard fame) and I was just waiting to see if Oracle would use the “Charles wants to spend more time with his mistress” excuse.
Alas it looks as if Oracle is claiming that Charles Phillips told them in December that he wanted to leave. Eerily coincidentally close to January 2010 when the still married Phillips copped to an 8.5 year relationship with YaVaughnie Wilkins.
The Phillips departure news was buried by Oracles simultaneous hiring of Mark Hurd – ex of HP – as the new co-President.
